Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how One Culture LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("One Culture," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Maurice the Music website at mauricethemusic.com, our iOS mobile application ("Maurice" in the App Store), and any related services we operate (collectively, the "Services").

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information. This list matches the disclosures on our App Store listing.

Contact information

Name, email address, and phone number, when you submit them to join the Broken Buckle fan club ("kin"), request to be notified about shows, sign up for blasts, or contact us.

Identifiers

A user ID we generate to recognize your account across sessions, a device identifier stored in a first-party cookie (named outlaw_visitor_id) on the website, and an Apple Push Notification Service token when you install the iOS app and enable push notifications.

User content

Chat messages, song and drink requests, tip or sponsorship notes, sightings you submit, photos you upload with a sighting, and any support messages you send us.

Usage data

Aggregate product-interaction data, including which pages you view, buttons you tap, shows you attend virtually, and how long video playback continues. Used to understand what resonates with the community.

Diagnostics

Anonymous crash reports and performance telemetry delivered by Apple, along with server logs (IP address, user agent) that help us debug and defend against abuse.

We do not collect precise or coarse location data, health or fitness data, contacts, browsing or search history, or financial account numbers. Payment card details are collected by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages, not by us.

How We Use Your Information

• Operate the Services — authenticate you, display your fan-club card and points, send one-time login codes by SMS, manage requests and chat during live shows, and fulfill tips, drink runs, donations, and sponsorships.
• Communicate with you — send transactional updates (receipts, show alerts) and, separately, promotional blasts by email, SMS, Apple Wallet, and iOS push when you have opted in.
• Improve the Services — measure feature usage, fix bugs, and prioritize what to build next.
• Keep the Services safe — detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The Services therefore do not display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Service Providers

We rely on a small set of reputable processors that handle data on our behalf under written data-protection agreements. They are contractually limited to using your information only to provide services to us.

• Supabase — primary database, authentication, and storage of fan-club and show-interaction data
• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery of the website and APIs
• Mux — live and on-demand video streaming and playback analytics
• Stream (getstream.io) — real-time chat during live shows
• Stripe — payment processing for tips, drinks, requests, donations, and sponsorships
• Resend — email delivery for blasts and receipts
• Twilio — SMS delivery for login codes and opted-in text blasts
• Apple Push Notification Service — iOS push delivery when you use the app

Payments

All purchases (tips, drinks, song requests, donations, sponsorships) are processed by Stripe on pages hosted by Stripe or on mauricethemusic.com. When you use the iOS app, payment flows open in an external in-app Safari browser controlled by Apple, not inside the app itself. We never see your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials; we receive only the minimum Stripe returns to us (a charge ID, last four digits of the card, and status).

Push Notifications and Messaging

If you enable iOS push notifications, Apple provides us a device token that we use only to deliver Maurice-the-Music alerts. You can turn off push at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Maurice.

By opting in to text messages through the fan-club signup form, you agree to receive SMS from One Culture LLC. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile phone numbers collected through this flow will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

The website uses a small number of first-party cookies, including one named outlaw_visitor_id that recognizes your device across sessions so we can restore your fan card, points, and activity. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as reasonably needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Server logs and diagnostics are typically retained for up to 90 days. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

Your Choices and Rights

• Unsubscribe from email by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any blast, or visit /unsubscribe.
• Stop text messages by replying STOP to any SMS.
• Turn off push notifications in iOS Settings.
• Delete your account at any time from /kin/account/delete (also reachable inside the iOS app). Deletion removes your fan-card, points, requests, sighting posts, and chat messages within 30 days, subject to limited backups and legal-retention obligations.
• Access, correct, or export your data by emailing us at the address below.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise your California rights, email us at contact@mauricethemusic.com.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email contact@mauricethemusic.com and we will delete it.

Security

We use TLS in transit, at-rest encryption for our databases, scoped service-role credentials, and row-level security in Supabase to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

International Users

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email or in-app notice.
