NASHVILLE, TN — August 2026 — Country singer-songwriter MAURICE will release three new singles on three consecutive Fridays this September: “USA” on September 11, “The Book That Saves” on September 18, and “Heaven Someday” on September 25. Written, produced, and performed by MAURICE, the songs tell one story in three parts — the country that gave him a shot, the faith that carried him through, and the childhood he had to survive to get here.

It is his first new music since his debut EP Country Like This, and his most ambitious release yet: three songs, three weeks, no filler.

“USA” arrives on September 11, a date MAURICE chose deliberately. The song is a tribute to veterans, first responders, and everyone who serves — and an invitation for a divided country to stand in the same room and sing the same words.

Patriotism isn’t theoretical for MAURICE. He came up through foster care, group homes, and juvenile detention, then spent years sleeping in his car and playing for tips on street corners from New Orleans to Colorado. “USA” is his thank-you to the country where that kid could end up here — an anthem for every corner of this country.

One week later comes “The Book That Saves,” the most personal statement of faith MAURICE has put on record. When there was no family and no safety net, there was a Bible — and the song is about holding onto it when everything else is up for grabs. “He won’t trade his soul for gold” isn’t a tagline; it’s the whole song.

For the millions who found MAURICE through his street performances, this is his answer to the question he gets asked most: how did you keep going?

The final single is the hardest one to sing. “Heaven Someday” looks straight at MAURICE’s childhood as a foster kid — the placements, the group homes, the years of belonging to nobody — and at the faith that convinced him he was Somebody’s all along. The single artwork features a photograph of MAURICE as a young boy.

He wrote it for every kid raised by The Father — and for anyone who had to raise themselves.

MAURICE spent the last five years street performing every day in New Orleans — rain or shine, for drunk tourists or churchgoers. With nothing but a guitar, trombone, and his gift, he traveled across the country playing shows, sleeping in his car, and surviving on faith and a fire within him.
